This is a story picture book for kids. It's originated from Japanese folktale. It tells an old man who is kind but poor, gave all his bamboo hats to stone buddhas to keep them from the freezing snow. Then the stone buddhas came back to thank the old man with many gifts, so the old man and his kind old wife could have a warm and happy new year.
