The background

Mediarun are a London based SEO and content marketing agency based in Angel. They produce compelling campaigns that help increase website user traffic for their clients.

The brief

Mediarun asked us to create an illustrated infographic showing every dress worn by the best actress Oscar® winners. The info-graphic would be launched on the lead up to the Oscars ceremony and ride the wave of Oscar fever through news and social media channels across the globe.

Our response

We developed a unique outline illustrative style and created smooth vector shapes for each and every dress. These vector graphics were then digitally painted – features and shading were added to show some of the unique differences between the dresses. The final result was picked up by fashion and design press around the world, had over 375 placements and Mediarun saw over 150,000 visitors to their website alone. The estimated number of views globally: 100,000,000! – the artwork was re-produced into posters and published within design and fashion industry books in the UK, Japan and Holland.
