1220mm Dia. NG Pipeline (South Wales)

Project description
1220mm Dia. NG Pipeline (South Wales)
This project required the installation of 200km of a 320km long 1220mm dia. high pressure natural gas pipeline passing through South Wales.  It was for the National Grid, and links Dragon and South Hook liquid natural gas (LNG) terminals at Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire with the national gas network at Tirley, Gloucestershire.
I was based in the site office for the project, and my role as CAD Engineer was to produce all the drawings required for the project, including designing special crossing drawings for all the major crossings, producing construction drawings for the pipe profile, producing maps showing the pipe route and associated land drainage, and producing the as built drawings.  I was also involved in collecting the as built data from the surveyors and importing into the Pipeline Manager System.
