Continuing the series of designs created by Sugar in collaboration with Platz Fur Tanz, the most popular and loved music label from Latvia, Riga. This time including a DJ from Berlin - Deepchild.
Deepchild is Berlin-based producer RickBull - a regular dj/live-pa here in Berlin at club-institutions likeBerghain, Tresor, Weekend Club, Watergate, as well as veritableinternational touring machine from Tokyo to Australia, andextensively across North America and Eastern Europe.As a core memberof of the Trapez recording-artist roster, the deepchildproduction-aesthetic remains firmly routed in an exploration of“post-Detroit” machine-music - bass-heavy, insistent, angular,raw, noisy and dub-laden techno, with persistent references toclassic-disco and soul rising and falling between rumbling proto-funkand mutant R’n'B.“My music is personal - it tends toward thedarker side of house and techno, and it’s certainly not foreveryone. But it’s my story, and the story of my people.”
