Border City è una video installazione nata dallo studio di uno spazio espositivo, la “white box” (San Servolo, Venezia). Questa stanza, vuota e priva di finestre, ci ha rese creativamente impotenti, senza vie d'uscita.

Il concetto di "sfondamento della parete" (trompe d'oeil) si è evoluto, dopo vari esperimenti, in una video installazione che vuole liberarsi dalle restrizioni espositive, da uno spazio inconsueto e stretto. Una realtà aumentata che sfonda le pareti e aggiunge altre possibili visioni.
Dal confine di uno spazio espositivo, il processo creativo ci ha portate al lavoro attuale: lo sfondamento di una parete, limitata da cornicioni fittizi. Una proiezione animata di un modello di città apparentemente irriconoscibile, ma ben identificabile da piccoli dettagli, soprattutto dallo sfondo sonoro.

Border City is a video installation born from the study of an exhibition space, the "white box" (San Servolo, Venice). This room, empty and without windows, has made us creatively impotent, with no way out.
The concept of "wall breaking" (trompe d'oeil) has evolved, after various experiments, into a video installation that wants to free itself from the exhibition restrictions, from an unusual and narrow space. An augmented reality that breaks through the walls and adds other possible visions.
From the boundary of an exhibition space, the creative process has brought us to the present work the breaking of a wall, limited by fictitious cornices. An animated projection of a model of an apparently unrecognizable city, but clearly identifiable by small details, above all by the background sound.
