Videomapping San Marcos Cathedral @ TGZ :: CHIS :: MX
This project was commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism. The aim was to create a 10 minutes show that worked as an introduction to the natural and cultural wealth of the state of Chiapas. Due to budget constraints, we could only project the facade of the main body of the church, using architectural lighting in enclosed bodies to complement the visual field.Project development lasted two months and was released to the public in March 2012.The videomapping is a permanent installation and is presented on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 and 8:30 PM

To speak about Chiapas in 10 minutes was a challenge quite interesting. Chiapas is very rich culture and history; from the Mayan ruins of Palenque to the jaguar and its ecological diversity, the amount and quality of information is massive. The diversity of Chiapas can be understood as a vibrant eclecticism that exists everywhere; this was key to the development of content. For this release we wanted to represent that eclecticism and we decided to look for those things, places, traditions and crafts that were adaptable to the facade of the church and were rich in shapes and colors.
