Fans want current players to respect a favorite team’s heritage. In baseball especially, subtly conferring legendary status on one’s roster can build supporter loyalty if done the right way.

All is Right TV

The most uplifting moment in Rangers baseball history had happened the previous fall.  The next chance for a fan to experience anything approaching that emotion would come the following Opening Day.  This spot pushed a season ticket package featuring that day as its centerpiece.
Ballpark 10th Anniversary TV

Classic traditional architecture combined with the franchise’s first three division titles to make The Ballpark in Arlington (now known as Rangers Ballpark in Arlington) a revered institution to Rangers fans over its first ten years of existence. The trick with advertising history is to make it relevant in selling the current product.  This spot used the emotions fans had for the iconic structure and redirected them associate them with modern-day players.

Welcome to Texas - Hamilton TV

The Rangers wanted to make clear that folks could expect great Texas hospitality at the ballpark, no matter their place of origin.  The one notable exception, of course, played just fine with Rangers fans of any stripe.  This spot was one of a series based around different players.
Unwind TV

Sports fans find pleasure in hanging out a ballgame with family and friends.  They also take enjoyment from the emotion that comes with supporting their favorite teams.  This spot reminded them of the best place to do both.
