FDR Four Freedoms Park will soon open as a tribute to the much-loved formerPresident of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt. It is located on the south point of Roosevelt Island in NYC, facing “the sea he loved, the Atlantic he bridged, the Europe he helped to save, the United Nations he inspired.” The architect who designed the park, Louis Kahn, who is one of the masters of the 20th century.
This design proposal pays homage to both FDR and Louis Kahn.
