200 years of bicycles

2017 marks the 200th anniversary of the bicycle. As you may or may not know, I've been a life-long cyclist. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been fascinated by the bicycle's invention, culture, and seemingly constant evolution. Literally hundreds of variations on this simple theme of two wheels and locomotion. Some very basic and some extremely complex, from crude and often heavy foundry metals to the latest in ultralight, aerospace materials, but amazingly enough, all very close to the same.

What better way to celebrate this momentous occasion than putting my illustrative spin on some of the truly classic designs? Enjoy.

This will be an on-going project, so there will be more of these in the future.
