Curi Stool.
With the spirit of the Curi Table, I wanted create a pairing bench or stool. Now, the table is inspired by the Araucaria Angustifolia tree, symbol of my state, and has the colors of the indigenous people that used to call the tree “curi”. It is also modular, practical, works in small ambients, and is a representation of union.
The bench or stool had to reflect all that.
To keep up with the theme, I went with something that was allied with the table’s project, represented union and had a high modularity: The tree’s pine cone.
Com o conceito da Mesa Curi, eu quis criar um banco ou banqueta como seu par. A mesa é inspirada pela árvore araucária, símbolo do meu estado, e tem as cores dos povos indígenas que costumava chamar a árvore "curi". Ela também é modular, prática, funciona em pequenos ambientes, e é uma representação de união.
O banco ou a banqueta teria que refletir tudo isso.
Para acompanhar o tema, fui com algo que estava aliado com o projeto da mesa, representado união e tinha alta modularidade: a pinha da árvore.

It’s shape is a common pattern in adornments across the city. The manner how the seeds are arranged inside the cone would be a great font of inspiration.

The Curi stool mimics the seeds to make a round, low table, but also two stools can be arranged in manner to create a bench that sits three people.
A Banqueta Curi imita os pinhões para fazer uma mesa redonda, baixa, mas também duas banquetas podem ser organizadas de forma a criar espaço para três pessoas sentarem.
Its unusual shape also invites different people to sit on in in different manners.
