Twitter, meet your video camera!
I had the pleasure of working with Tout last year and part of this. I came in as the team was trying to adjust their product to respond to a lot of good feedback from their community, plus a ton of fresh ideas from within the team.
My involvement was to lead UX towards simpler and more obvious interaction design. Tout is exactly the kind of product that absorbs complexity naturally - by being adaptable to what the user wants to do. Tout, at its simplest, is a way of sharing 15 second videos directly from your mobile device or computer. Simple, right? Not so fast.

A user profile page displays my personal information, relationships, content that I've created, and tag support.
Conversations were complicated. Finding the right model for maintaining the context and momentum of a conversation was dependent on a large array of interaction requirements. Ultimately using a natural human interaction served as the best model for the feature.
