Care that reaches out
In a competitive market your presence needs to be visible
For the regional hospital St Jansdal I designed 2 trucks. The highly recognizable  MRI scanner and a Radiology unit are used in the region, bringing the service to the clients and spreading the word about the excellent service. Healthcare is now a competitive market in the Netherlands and hospitals can not neglect the edges of their region. So they decided to move their service into the region.

From a design perspective there were two different sets of specifications:

The radiology bus stated 'We take care of each other' and the theme used for regional activities 'Care Closeby'. The unit needed to look good when standing separate from the truck, be easy recognizable for clients as a part of the hospital brand and could not be too clear about the valuable contents. The hospital really wanted to take advantage of the 'billboard' opportunity.

Patients that are searching for the MRI unit on the parking lot will not have a hard time locating it either. The MRI truck came after the radiology bus was finished and since this was a joint venture with another hospital it was important that the design would suit both hospital identities. Mission impossible?

Both trucks had a different supplier of the large format vinyl printing and that explains why the radiology bus is more red than the original design. With the second supplier (same process of delivering the design) it was a much better result.
The 'undercover' mobile MRI does not say loudly it is a valuable unit for security reasons.

The hospitals take turn in the design too. In color and elements from the logos.
