Blip Blip Blip: Inventory of Behaviours

Venue:
East Street Arts
Patrick Studios
St. Mary's Lane
Leeds LS9 7EH

Inventory of behaviours was a collaborative project turned exhibition exploring how artists work and behave in the studio, researching how different studio practices can be used as a tool for production. Considering the current economic problems collaboration is vital for the survival of artists, which in turn exposes them to different models of studios and ways of production. With this in mind Blip Blip Blip asked different artist from around the world to summit an instruction or guidelines which help them produce work with in their practice. These instructions/ guidelines focused on rituals, traits, conditions, preparations, patterns, procrastinations and habits within the studio. Volunteers from different educational institutions visited the site in Leeds to use and embody an instruction which was summited and create a piece of work/ works from that using the space and resources within that studio in the time limit of that day.
Below shows the work created from that day by me and my collaborate group of volunteers
