Ushta Te ~ a wedding invitation

Happiness Unto You
A wedding invitation designed for a dear friend, based on her concept.
Ushta Te in the language of the ancient Zoroastrians translates to Happiness Unto You.

Ayesha wanted to base her wedding card on just this phrase. "I want nothing elaborate" she said when we began. And though many ideas were tossed around by friend and family, she stayed true to her taste.

Ushta Te was typeset in Linotope's classic serif Diotima and a Gujarati (the adopted language of the Zoroastrians in India) script. Her wedding invite turned out dignified, simple beautiful and true. Just like my dear Ayesha.
A section of the typography on the invite cover.
For the typophiles, only the dark red lettering is in Trajan, the rest is Diotima and a Gujarati script.
The invite rested in linen-paper double-fold pouch.
The Invite cover.
Simply copy. Just the way Ayesha wanted it.
The translation. Tucked away just under the inside-cover.
