Kenny Mayne's Wider World of Sports
Stop Motion Reel
This project involved the creation of six stop motion front ends for ESPN's "Kenny Mayne's Wider World of Sports" television special. Each front end would showcase a country that Kenny visited, and they would allude to the activities Kenny participated in while there.
This was ESPN's first stop motion project. I was tasked to work on it because of my experience with stop motion animation during college. I acted as a consultant and gave tips on stop motion. I was also assigned to three of the sets (Brazil, Ireland, New Zealand). I created the animation concept for them, gathered/researched materials, and built the sets themselves. On the day of the shoot, I stop motion animated several of the sets and did touch up repairs/last minute design changes.
