Relationship and Sexual Violence
Prevention Logos
I created this series of logos as part of my internship with the Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center (RSVP) at Washington University in St. Louis.
"Stand By Me" is an online educational program targeted towards sophomores that trains students on relationship violence prevention. I worked with a team to develop the name and public identity of the new program. I developed several concepts for the logo, and we ultimately selected the speech bubble image as an indicator for the moment a student decides to speak up in defense of another. I added the ellipses to imply the "typing" animation, and to engage with a common way college students communicate. I used the purple and teal color scheme to reference the colors of sexual violence awareness ribbons.
After working to develop the "Stand By Me" identity, I updated the logos of preexisting RSVP center initiatives to cohere with the new branding system. The Date is a performance-based fist-year orientation program that educates students on the importance of consent. LIVE stands for Leaders in Interpersonal Violence Education, an on-campus student group that seeks to educate the Washington University community surrounding topics of interpersonal violence.
The logos are used in promotional materials, giveaway items, and clothing.
