Here is a bottle label concept I did for a design competition by the Clampit Paper Company.  It didn't make the cut, but I enjoyed working on it. :) The only rule was that you had to use one of their papers as the label.  I decided to go with a origami concept.  I placed the instructions of how to build an origami crane on the back label.  The origami crane has a interesting historical story.  

THE LEGEND OF THE CRANE -

Throughout all of Asia, the crane has been a symbol of happiness, eternal youth, good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years.  Cranes were believed to carry people to higher levels of spiritual enlightenment.  Over time, the crane has also evolved as a favorite of the tradition of paper folding - origami.  It is said that a thousand folded cranes makes a wish come true.
