In early 2016, Dino Carasso and Leon Thau participated in a competition with over 50 other creatives to design a new fin/tail for a Swiss Airforce F/A-18 hornet fighter jet for Squadron 11. The competition theme was a tiger – an emblem for the ‘Swiss tiger squadron 11’ and of the squadrons of the worldwide ‘NATO Tiger“ alliance.

Once a year, all the participating squadrons send their decorated aircrafts to the ‘NATO Tiger Meet’ where the best creations are evaluated. With the support of Bartlomiej Pluskota (Phixe21), our hand-painted design was created as part of a secret mission on a military airbase in the Swiss alps.
