Pipeline Logo and Branding

Pipeline is a skateboard apparel company geared towards young males, ages 7 - 15. The clothing is edgy, comfortable, well-made and above all tough enough to handle the abuse of trips, falls and spills encountered by mastering the sport. With the tagline of “Rip Into It,” the brand encourages young boys to discard their fears, apprehensions and jump in with both feet.

The logo uses loose, handwritten typography to match the rebellious, counter-culture beginnings of skateboarding. The name, “Pipeline,” is broken into two by crossing pipes, both adding energy to the logo and a physical representation of rails. Finally, a rough overlay was added to further communicate the sidewalk-tough nature of the brand.
