Mars 360° V.1.0

Project Mars 360° v.1.0
For this project, I wanted to create an interactive 3D website using experimental and new technologies. I started by drawing sketches of what I wanted before mocking them up in Photoshop.
I wanted to have a popup that explained how to navigate the website..
The front screen mock-up is a window before you enter the website to allow for loading of WebGL
As you enter the website for the first time you are met with a popup that explains how to navigate. the background was changed during the final peace into a cinematograph to add the effect of an atmosphere.
I wanted to have a 3D object on the home screen as a way of navigating the website, I found that the most interactive websites help to educate and influence others. I wanted to add Markers to the WebGL JavaScript to allow for navigation.
Originally I wanted to have a popup window that gave users an option, for the curiosity rover I had set up two pages that they could interact, a video and a game as I found that the majority of my users liked to get information fast.
The videos & embedded game were full width and allowed users to stop and replay sections.
The about us page was removed late in the design to be added to the burger navigation as the information could be better understandable in a downloadable PDF.
After coding for 3-4 months I was finally able to finish the project or the first part... the complexity of the JavaScript lead to delays in production so I decided to pull the plug on some elements which included the markers. The website is adaptive, however, is does not seem to work correctly on many devices. Over time v.1.5 will correct these issues.
