FINAL OUTCOME

MA Graphic Branding & Identity (2016)
My final outcome is a playground which embodies overprotective parents’ recommendations, exasperating them to the point of paralyzing all the toys. I designed six different pieces of equipment (the most popular ones) and I made them deliberately unusable by using excessive safety measures. I chose the playground because it is also an immediate reminder of children and the message can clearly arrive to the receiver. The desirable objective is to inspire parents to have a change of attitude, because they understand the contradictions of their behaviour.

From this collection, I built three small scale models that have been exhibited during the Final Postgraduate Show at London College of Communication. The artworks include: a swing that does not swing because is too well fixed, a slide with an anti-slip surface to moderate speed, a spring rider that can not rotate because its base is not flexible.
