After finding research on large amounts of food being wasted in the young consumer sector in America, Hive is a mobile application designed to assist college students to optimize food storage practices. Key features include the tracking of refrigerator contents, alerts about food spoilage, meal planning, and the creation of shopping lists. A cool and clean color palette embraces the promise of an easy-flow navigation from infographic to the final application prototype. Hive received strong feedback from the public, business community, and peers after being pitched at the Design Entrepreneurship Showcase.
