TED and TEDx are events that are known worldwide. Millions of people every day watch a TED Talk. These Talks are made by thousands of people, of different workfields, with different personalities but every one of them have an “idea worth spreading”. In this spirit we have created a TEDx event at Braga so everyone on the community can have this experience and can share these ideas. This first edition happened in 12th November 2016 at GNRation, and the theme was “Deixar a Porta Aberta” (Letting the Door Open), in referral to one of the city biggest monuments, the “Arco da Porta Nova”. This monument was built in the XVI century and due to the fact of not having a war, a door or a gate was never built, so we call the natives of Braga the people o always are “letting the Door Open”.
