This is an expanded catalogue of pop-up exhibition "Unbuilt" which took place in Moscow near the demolished building of the Taganskaya automated telephone exchange, the monument of constructivism (now destroyed). The exhibition includes six photomontages of unrealized constructivist buildings placed in the landscape of modern Moscow. This publication contains all descriptions of the projects and their images, sketches and drawings, alternative projects, and each project includes a sheet of transparent film with printed building, which can be applied to the proposed location of the building or to any other, to see how it would fit into the urban environment. As the main source of inspiration for the layout of the publication, I served as the magazine Modern Architecture 1926-1930s.
I'd like to see this exhibition became small art Manifesto and at the same time a tribute to the architectural heritage of the city.
