This project began as a family affair. I asked my daughter and granddaughter to star in a video in which they were going to make a skillet of cornbread using my narration. I created a storyboard using the actual positions of the appliances in her kitchen. I took still shots to help determine which angles would best show them in action.
I began my project with poor lighting. I do not own professional lighting so I used what I had. The results are not very desirable.
I also placed my camera in different areas of the kitchen to try and grab the best light from overhead and in the distance. This did not work well, either.
In order to get the best lighting possibly, I made two sets of lights using Bayco 150-Watt Incandescent Portable Work Lights with Tungsten bulbs. They are attached to PVC pipe and anchored with a wooden block. These provided the greatest light and were very easy to handle and move around.
This last picture shows the finished product with using only one light to add atmosphere. Although I used lighting that I made myself, it worked out well and I was pleased with the lighting results.
