Scrooge es un rediseño del cuento clásico y original de Charles Dickens ''Cuento de Navidad''. Pretende dar una nueva visión y un soplo de aire fresco a un libro que ha sido muy editado y ninguno nos ofrece nada diferente.

Scrooge is a redesign of Charles Dickens's classic and original story that we we all know as ''A Christmas Carol''. It tries to give a new vision and a breath of fresh air to a book that has been very published and none offers us anything different.
CONCEPT

Surgió la idea de hacer algo completamente diferente. Mediante el uso de las calaveras, el color turquesa que representa a los espíritus y el degradado de negro a blanco que simboliza la ‘’purificación de Scrooge’’. La intención era que el propio libro fuera Scrooge, por eso se llama así, porque es el protagonista, y por eso el degradado negro. Además es un personaje muy oscuro y malvado, y el estilo Cuento de Navidad al que acostumbramos que irradia ‘’un mensaje positivo’’ no le representaba para nada. Tenía que ser algo a la altura de su personaje, y que al final el espectador se llevara una sorpresa. Que a la vez que lee el libro fuera participe de esa purificación mediante el degradado.
Charles Dickens hacia muchísimo hincapié en las descripciones y sobretodo en que Marley estaba muerto. Se resaltarlo especialmente en el diseño para interactuar más y que sea más ameno de leer.

There arose the idea of making something completely different. By means of the use of the skulls, the color turquoise that represents the spirits and the degraded one of black to white that symbolizes " Scrooge's purification ". The intention was that the proper book was Scrooge, because of it it calls this way, because he is the protagonist, and because of it the degraded black. In addition he is a very dark and wicked personage, and the style Story of Christmas to which we accustom that it radiates " a positive message " was not representing him for anything. It had to be something at the level of his personage, and that ultimately the spectator was taking a surprise to himself. That simultaneously that reads the book was a participant of this purification by means of the degraded one.
Charles Dickens towards very much support in the descriptions and overcoat in which Marley was dead. To highlight it specially in the design to interact more and that is more pleasant of reading.

Se recuperaron elementos del diseño del libro original, la primera edición publicada en 1843. También se tomaron elementos característicos de David B. como los fantasmas o las lineas onduladas.

There recovered elements of the design of the original book, the first edition published in 1843. Also there took elements typical of David B. like the ghosts or the wavy lines.
