Sequel, prequel and reboot

The visualization shows the 20 best-selling movies in the history of cinema,
placed by released date (x axis) and box office (y axis).
Movies of the same series are linked, and for each one is shown if is: the first movie
(or the only one) of the series, a sequel (chronologically follows the main story), a prequel
(chronologically precedes the main story), a reboot (reset the story and start it in a new
context), a stand alone sequel (set in the same universe, follows an independent story),
a spin-off (develops facts cited in the original series, or a secondary character becomes the
main one). For each movie is specified what macro genre it belongs to: action, superheroes,
fantasy, science fiction, romantic drama, animation.
