Design background
Except the production case, I hoped the company could also develop new requirements of the door lock, so I took the chance of the annual project to thought of the lighting lock concept.
When I back to my house at night, I always need to find the key in the dark, I want to solve this problem.
I found the lighting design is planned inside and outside before starting construction work usually, so I combine the door lock and the entrance light.
My target user is the construction market, not general DIY consumers.
I designed the light source at the end of the door handle, and the wires were extended from the lock body into the door and connected the power supply system at home.
When the door handle is pressed down, it just like a normal door lock, which can drive the latch to open and close the door. When you need the light, you can turn the door handle up, and it becomes a door lamp instantly.
I printed the 3D model, and Installed institution to made the concept concrete.
