My Grandfather's Rosary is a pulse-sensing heirloom that captures the heartbeat of a dying individual.

There comes a moment in every person's life when you are faced with the harsh reality that someone you love is going to pass away. 

For me, that time came in early 2013. Mi abuelito José fell very ill and I began to wonder how life would be without him. As a born and raised Mexican-American Catholic, I tend to look at rosaries as a tool people to use for prayer and comfort—especially when faced with losses. 

My personal constraint was to preserve the cultural traditions of Mexico's Dia de los Muertos while remaining future-forward.
