Event Branding | Spring Art Sale

The visual identity is designed for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's 17th annual Spring Art Sale. The concept of this design comes from the idea "unwrapping". 
Imagining the process of unwrap a gift, "unwrapping" involves the process of discovering, exploring, and being surprised, which speaks to people's experience in the art sale. 
The main identity refers to Van Gogh's Sunflower, also indicates the breath of spring.
本作品是我为芝加哥艺术学院第十七届年度艺术品售卖会所做的一系列宣传设计。主要形象为撕开的黑白包装纸下盛放的向日葵。
作品的创作灵感来源于撕开礼物的过程。撕开礼物的过程,包含着探索、发现,以及获得惊喜的过程。这和人们在售卖会中浏览、发现心仪的艺术品而感受到惊喜的体验是十分相似的。
将向日葵作为主要宣传形象,一方面代指梵高的《向日葵》之类的艺术品,另一方面也是突出了“春季”这一特点。黑白纸张下使用一抹亮丽的黄色,更加使人眼前一亮,有惊喜之感。
