Anthropologie Period Style Window Display

Concept:

To walk by an Anthropologie store is to experience another state of consciousness. Their tactics are based on comfort and inclusivity and with no doubt their window displays are breathtaking and very unique. I decided to create a window display design based on the play ‘Learned Ladies’ by Moliere. The play is set during the 18th century, a period in time were the lavish lifestyle was very evident to the public and desired by many. The set will resemble a tea party inspired by the French salons with the period styling in mind. A pastel color palette with be present all throughout the design. As to resemble wealth, touches of gold will adorn the table and its surroundings. As to highlight the tea party theme, French pastries, teacups and teapots will be used as props; as well as plenty of books to emphasize how educated the three ladies are. Because after all it’s a window display of a store that sells both clothing and home décor,  mannequins wearing period-appropriate garments will compliment the whole design.
