Out & About Pop Up Book
This book was designed, illustrated, hand-cut and constructed by the artist. Each of the 8 pop-up spreads represents a memory from some of the places I have traveled to. The style was inspired by vintage luggage stickers, and combined with the pop-up elements was meant to convey the excitement of traveling to new places.
To complement the book, I also created an animated book trailer to anticipate the hypothetical "publication" of the book at a gallery showing at the University of Massachusetts in December 2011. The trailer was published to the internet a week prior to the show, as well as shown at a screening before the gallery opening.
