Zimmerman Advertising Digital Strategy & Social Intern

Zimmerman is the 14th largest full-service agency in the U.S. and Omnicom Group’s retail powerhouse. Zimmerman created the science of Brandtailing™, building brands over time while driving sales overnight. Holistic by design, their brand-activation business model includes strategic planning, business analytics, brand design, advertising, interactive, social engagement, media, public relations, mobile, CRM/Loyalty and in-house production.

I currently hold the position of a non-rotating digital intern. I oversee and work on client's social medias as well as client management within the digital department. The digital department is the fastest growing department at Zimmerman Advertising and I believe I work within the fastest growing aspect of digital- social media. I have learned the tricks of driving high ROI and increasing engagement with the customers. It's an unseen art that many oversee and don't understand- but when learned is effective and resourceful.

My favorite projects I have been involved in at Zimmerman have been the Miami Heat Champions Parade- live streaming content for their client Party City's social media platforms. I also had the opportunity to draw up a sample College Representative Program for a Client to be pitched. As well as forming and taking place in intern challenges dealing with social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and Instagram.

Part of being the social media intern meant I got to work directly with client's social media platforms and brainstorm ideas. Being a big Pinterest fan, I helped come up with Party City's Halloween Pinterest compeition- "Pin a Party, Win a Party" 
One of the Social Media Intern Challenges was a Twitter Contest promoting Zimmerman's philanthropy event Livelong-Livestrong, a run and cycling race benefiting Lance Armstrong's Foundation. Within the span of two hours I generated the largest amounts of retweets among the 35 other interns. The Lessons the challenge taught me about networking and promoting were very beneficial. 

Zimmerman Featured me in an Intern Spotlight for winning the challenge- the video was posted among all of Zimmerman's social media platforms. Great grass-rooting for me in the future.

One of the Intern's challenges were to promote our experience in a unique and creative way on Google+ and tag Zimmerman Advertising . I decided to create a short video about my time in ZDigital using props from clients that were placed around the office. We also had to promote Zimmerman's philanthropy and Free College Education Sweepstakes promoted on Jordan Zimmerman's Blog- You Sleep When You Die.
