Artist books
For this university brief I have chosen to work with Gresham area in Middlesbrough. Gresham area is a place where homes are being demolished in order to build new ones and make the area look better.In order to move on with my project I started taking pictures of the houses in that area. Some of them were not completely demolished and you could see the inside of the house. The wallpapers from the kitchen and the rooms can now be seen as the exterior of the house. This attracted my curiosity and I wanted to take more pictures of the wallpapers, the walls and some found items.

The second artist book is a french folding book hand stitched by me. In order to create this artist book I only focused on a specific house in Gresham area. That is because there is a person still living in that house even though it is planned to demolish his house.
What I wanted to achieve with this artist book is to show that even though when we visit Gresham area we believe that it is abandoned and no one lives there, there are still some people living in their homes. Those people do not want to let go their homes and they are trapped in their own houses.
