As I followed the ant trail marching in unison over the ashen concrete, my mind meandered through an undercurrent of somber nostalgia.
As a part of the Experimental Film Workshop in NID, we had to make a short experimental film using a particular Cinematic Device as a tool for invoking a mood. My cinematic device was ‘depth of focus’ and the mood to invoke was nostalgia. The idea was to break away from the traditional use visuals and audio in cinematic grammar and thereby achieving experimental results.
