This poster was designed for the Hotter ‘N Hell 100 bike ride which is a 100 mile bike marathon in 100 degree weather in Wichita Falls, Texas. I needed to show the intensity of riding 100 miles and at the same time illustrating the scorching summer. A pitchfork chasing after the riders conveys the looming sense of doom and exhaustion as well as the hellish heat. I designed the typography to be reminiscent of a bull’s skull and cracked dirt to tie in Texas.
