India: Through Their Lens 2016

'Through Their Lens' in India 2016 was an extension of the previous photography projects which were held in Delhi and Ghana. This time a total of 50 disposable cameras were shared with kids in two locations- Delhi, a sprawling busy mega city of India, and Mukteshwar, a secluded peaceful mountain town.
Kids took the pictures over the course of one day, following workshop classes with the theme 'A day in My Life'. We explored the principals of photography, and discussed why we take photos and the value of recording normal things as well as special things. With rapid development particularly in the city, things may look very different in a generation's time, and these photos reveal nuances and perspectives on the kid's daily life.
The cameras and developing of this project was kindly funded by fundraising from Alice McCabe.
