" This was a university project. The task was to make an automotive form out of Bamboo and thread.
Here the idea is to understand about tension of curve and flexibility of the form. "
Bamboo is an excellent medium to understand the concept of tension, because of its material property. While making the model we can actually feel the tension in the string and the flexibility of the bamboo.
Symmetry of the form was one of the greatest challenge, In order to make similar curves on both sides with different bamboo strip.we actually have to feel the tension and flexibility of one strip to copy it to the other one.
