Product Launch Redux - HP Sprout website

HP’s 'Sprout' PC debuted with a bang; the all-in-one was packed with an integrated projector, 3D scanner, touchscreen, and capacitive drawing mat. The initial launch captured the boldness of the product with a dynamic brand look, however, the online experience struggled to prioritize the many business goals let alone the user’s needs. All of these challenges were magnified on the mobile experience, so the team pulled me in to assist on the follow-up release.

Managing the global and site-specific navigation menus was helped by pinning the site nav during scrolling on both mobile and desktop.

Working with the original design team, I consulted on the 1.5 release by providing guidance on a streamlined navigation, page organization and content hierarchy that best supported the multiple audiences and customer journeys. Audiences ranged from ‘makers’ to developers contemplating porting their app to the device.

I also provided functional specs for HP’s developers–and content guidance for writers–by mapping to each wireframe module.
