Holy Artemis, the ancient Greek goddess of the moon, as the New Moon symbol is always new, virginal, and reborn. Artemis essential oils give people new blood and bring people to enjoy the spiritual world just like the holy water and the morning dew that is the condensation of the moonlight.

DESIGN RESEARCH
Artemis Aromatics as a global company supports worldwide reputation for the finest essential oils in North America and Europe. It spares no effort to maintain the high quality and purity of the essential oils and the professional research to ensure the exact effects physically and mentally.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Artemis mainly appeals to youths and adults, male and female, 15–70+. The primary customers will be females between the ages of 20–60 years old who need to relieve work pressure or pursue material and spiritual life.

DESIGN SOLUTION
Artemis Aromatics as a global company spares no effort to maintain the high quality and purity of the essential oils and the professional research to ensure the exact effects physically and mentally. The Artemis Brand Identity is focused on company philosophy interpretation and emotion expression.
Brand Logo

The brand logo is focused on company philosophy interpretation and emotion expression. The large and small dots image a new moon and visualize the smoothly radiated moonlight referred to the Moon Goddess Artemis to represent the elegant and romantic sense of a natural landscape in the soft and pure moonlight. The sense matches the feeling and the experience of the products. Also, the radiated form presents the enterprise development of the company and extracted natural essence of the products. Cool color palette tends to have a calming and relaxing emotion. Blue can help people sleep and rest, just like the feeling of essential oils. Especially the darker blue is associated with intelligence, stability, and unity. Silver, especially a shiny and metallic silver, is cool like gray but livelier. The color silver can be earthy, natural or sleek, and purple is always to present elegance.

Stationery System

The Artemis stationery system shows an elegant and luxury feeling. The typographic treatment emphasizes the high taste of the brand when the loose letter space shows more run to breath. ITC Cerigo Std, a Glyphic typeface that has gentle stroke contrast and slim striangular serifs, is often associated with luxury brands because of its grace and elegance shapes. Its large x-height is also suitable for text and display work. The cold, impersonal and antiseptic color selection continues the same palette as brand logo in order to give a calming and relaxing emotion. The combination of the logo pattern as the luxury decoration relates to the brand image. Pearl Effects Paper and Card give more visual effect and expensive quality.

The main sense of this packaging set absolute to soothe and calm. Its scent is clear, and purity is soothing. The form of the box opening and the shape of tags were designed like flower’s petals to match the smell of the essential oils. The color selections and the elegant letter spacing unite the Artemis brand identity. To look for clever ways to create typography contrast, I kept unique one-typeface combination to assign the obvious role of the brand, and treated hierarchy by a great variation of size, weight and function among the fonts used. Pearl Effects Paper and Card provide a more visual effect and expensive quality.
