Hand Lettering - Summer & Fall 2016

A bit of a departure from my previous style, these two pieces loosely draw inspiration from Victorian signs. Someday the first may end up painted in my garage as a fun sort of "Welcome home!"
These verses from Romans 5 were commissioned by my family in memory of a loved one who passed away.
I’ve been lettering a lot this year- and learning a lot- and working on bringing all of my finished artwork together to create a new line of products. Finally, after months on and off of sketching and lettering, I’m so excited to introduce Apples of Gold, my new line of digital hand-lettered art and printables! The brand name and logo design is inspired by a verse from Proverbs.

I've been adding printables to my shop, and I plan to continue uploading new designs in the upcoming months.
Originally the "Brighten the Corner" design was meant for a different project, but I felt the direction of the first (the one I liked best) was all wrong. The second was better for the project, but I wasn't satisfied with it. I ended up starting over with different words, but liked this design so well that I've added to my Apples of Gold line! It became a popular post on Instagram as well.

"Seek Ye First" -- One of my first experimentations with symmetrical design.
Thanks for stopping by! If you've made it this far, you're a great sport! In the spirit of "onwards and upwards," I've made some wallpapers and lock screens with another lettering design, which you can download free. You can visit my blog for more as well.
