"For this project I've explored the relationship between two themes I think are very current: beauty and food. In some ways it's the evolution of the Colors series that brought me to the Hasselblad Masters Award, where the relationship between food, beauty and nature became the relationship between food, beauty and man. A healthy diet is closely connected with the concept of beauty, but everyone is more concerned with the achievement of exterior beauty than what beauty in its broadest sense actually represents. So by exploring the world that I know best, commercial photography, I've created a portfolio in which every image starts with a beauty product. Then I introduce a food ingredient, changing his main function but keeping its visual identity. There's no judgment in my images, no criticism, just the exploration of how to deal with two different themes and the new intersection that they create one they are related to each other."
