Main Description
The Museum of Typography organized for the 3rd time the International Poster Contest. The theme of this contest was “Typography: past, present, future”.
Analyzing the concept
Taking as a fact that math is "hidden" everywhere (it is present in all times -from antiquity to today- and is reflected on multiple levels of human creativity in a wide range of arts and sciences), I visualized the theme title using the binary number system for each font type of the sentence. Using the # symbol, I created a reference to modern communication platforms such as social media. Moreover, using the classic font Helvetica, I underlined the permanence and evolution of graphic communication. Finally, the basic four printing colors (CMYK), are reproducing and repeating serially for each font type of the theme title to symbolize the unlimited color combinations of the color palette.
