This is my first design assignment - to create a new logo for the brand. 

I chose this brand, Arbutus, since I got to know a little bit about the brand from my friend. 

 

The actual brand logo is the text 'Arbutus'. Based on their logo, you might not know what is their business. They actually sells mechanical watches. So I decided to add a little element from a watch into the logo. 

 

The main purpose is to allow people to understand from the first look what is their core and easier for brand recall.
