Dreaming of a Monster Amusement Park
In China, when children suddenly cry in their dreams, people would say that the monsters and demons are the ones disturbing them. While this is often something frightening for children and the children can carry those fears even as grown ups, with my print inspiration I wanted to create an imaginary world filled with monsters that are cute and funny as opposed to being scary. These monsters would be the ones to make kids break out of their often-unrealistic fears, and instead make them believe that even if there are such creatures as monsters, they are here not to scare them but to make them laugh.
