This is the first design for my laser cut clock. The pattern is a series of rectangles angled at 45 degrees to the material and 90 degrees to each other. The design shows how simple repetition of shape can have a powerful effect. I added the black boarder as an after thought and I feel this really finished the design and brought it together. The hands were initially made for another clock but I felt the colour added a nice contrast to the minimalistic nature of the original design. The final design says "serious but also a little bit fun" :)
