While the women in this particular series are famous for their honorable talent, they're often victims of racial abuse, harassment, and mistreatment. These portraits are meant to not only highlight individual, black women in the media who experience public, racial attacks, but to show solidarity for black women, as a whole, who are commonly persecuted and treated unjustly. I hope this series can start a conversation about anti-blackness and how our society isn't providing enough attention or support to this demographic.
