Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Centre

AL HEFAIYAH MOUNTAIN CONSERVATION CENTRE
Sharjah, UAE

Located at the base of the Hajar Mountains outside of Kalba, Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Centre celebrates
the rich biodiversity of the region’s mountain habitats. Through conservation initiatives and community education,
the Centre is committed to protect both the delicate landscape and its vulnerable wildlife for future generations.
With Landscape enclosures and many displays, Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Centre draws visitors close to
the flora and fauna of the mountains, and highlights the strong connections between the animals and landscape and regional creativity and culture. The Centre is home to 30 species, many of them on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. Endangered species include the Arabian leopard, Arabian wolf, striped hyena and the Arabian tahr. They where kept and bred at the Breeding Centre for Endangered Arabian Wildlife in Sharjah who’s efforts in the protection of Arabian wildlife are indispensable.

I am proud to have a part in this project by producing the identification drawings and silhouettes featured on the information panels across the centre. The lay-out, pictograms and design where done by Sophy Cave and Abjad Design. Here are some of the illustrations I made for the centre.

These are digitale illustrations using Photoshop, Illustrator and a Wacom Cintiq tablet.
