Design thinking is the future, and it begins with proper education at a collegiate level. MADE: The Mid-Atlantic Design Experience brings together institutional teams from colleges and universities around the region. This two-day event hosted at a participating institution showcases the work from teams that had been completed in the months before the conference. This valuable networking opportunity brings students, faculty, and various industry experts together in one place.
The first conference topic is advertised as Alzheimer’s Disease. Students are to create any product, service, or general solution to make those coping with the disease, their families, or healthcare professionals have more concise and positive outcomes. Student teams are judged by industry professionals, their peers, and educators to be featured in the conference Showcase. Students can win institutional awards as well as valuable opportunities to network.
