My new and very exciting commission from Waitrose and Surrey Hills Arts for the 2016 Surrey Hills Cow Parade!
The brief: to decorate the cow in-keeping with the idea of 'butcher's cuts'. Keeping it family-friendly for its large audience, bold of colour whilst also showing the hand-crafted illustrative feel. Working massively outside of my comfort zone, this was a challenging project and I literally grabbed the 'she-bull' by the horns.
The blank canvas arrives - very exciting!
The markings are mapped out...
Block colours done.
Eek. First bits of type are on.
Up close and udderly personal.
The shimmer of the anti-graffiti paint. No going back now!
The finished cow. Gonna miss her cow-mpany over breakfast.
Firemen, Tim & the Mayor directing 'HaB' into her new home in Haslemere, Surrey
And voilà! She's home.
